Though this article may not be directly about investing, I feel it is a good read for any students, young investors or anyone else looking to buy their first home or investment property. Though not all of these will apply to everyone, in general they are steps everyone should take to ensure the smoothest possible transition from renter / basement dweller to a homeowner. Let me know what you all think.

ReplyDeletei've always had a hell of a time with my credit!
ReplyDeletemy dad without my knowledge, took out a credit card in my name, ran it up to 12 grand, and never paid it.
i called the credit card company and told em, and they said the only way they could help me is if i say my dad stole my identity, and they would charge him with identity theft. well, i'm not getting my dad in trouble, as much as he screwed me over, i can't do that.
so at age 19, i got a bankruptcy, five years later i'm still payin for it, can't get a loan, can't get a car, anything, sucks...
i'd like to offer my own advice: don't get married. shit, wives are expensive.
ReplyDeleteI'll keep this in mind when I'm going to start real estate :]
