The Realities of Real Estate Investing

As everyone knows, infomercials and other marketing venues claim that real estate investing (REI) is easy, foolproof and that anyone and their mother can do it.  Though REI is not the most difficult concept in the world to grasp, it is definitely not for everyone - especially the unprepared!  Below is an article I found with some generic tips for young investors interested in real estate.  The article is pretty short, but does hit the nail on the head for a number of the points that it makes.  Definitely worth a look for those interested in REI.

  1. I found this article to be pretty good and felt it would fit in with many of the "newer to investing" posts I have recently been doing. It does not have that much fluff and gets the gears turning. I'm looking for more advanced stuff on stocks/REI, but I don't want to overwhelm people or anything. Look forward to your views.

  2. I think the best advice you've given is for someone to be informed and educated about what it is that they're doing and all the naggling factors that come with real estate ventures. I've seen a couple of people foolishly fall prey to what was over-hyped and over-exposed on TV and they lost their assess! It was sad, but sometimes, that's what has to happen before people will learn.

  6. Great information, and yes, ads are misleading, as those ads that tell you that you can earn thousands of bucks from home, but they sell you 5 tedious books. Lol. But I think Real Estate is a good business, thanks for the information.
